Because I am not one to speculate about what could happen with big brand technology, you may have read on other sites the speculation that Apple was rearing and ready to go with another press event this month.
Following closely in the footsteps of the iPhone launch, Apple has confirmed an event will be held on October 16th at 10AM (PDT)/4AM AEST at the companies headquarters in Cupertino, California.
The invitation to the press was distributed with a multi-coloured enlarged image of the companies logo with the caption “It’s been way too long”.
Apple is expected to be launching updates to the iPad and iMac ranges, as well as the latest edition of the Mac OS X operating system.
In my humble opinion the confirmation in this press event confirms that the company has been looking at priorities in products and the way they are distributed, as this year they have not followed a typical pattern that was set while the late Steve Jobs was in control of the company.
I will have the roundup from the event up on the blog following the event around this time next week.
